A sequence of postures and techniques for physical health and mental well-being. Hatha Yoga invites purification and freedom in the body and mind through postures, breathwork, and deep relaxation. These movements increase more oxygenated blood to the brain and all the organs, yielding more energy, healing, flexibility, gracefulness, and reduces stress. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.
